VIP Tradition Y33 Cedric build-upmalsheem 09-29-2003, 03:56 AM My second post of a kit build-up. Kit: Aoshima VIP Tradition Y33 Nissan Cedric Straight out of the box build-up. Body color will be Alclad II Prismatic Sapphire (Dark Blue to UV). Wheel choice is a set of 19" Koenig WRV's, but I'll probably change my mind somewhere down the road. http://www.quietrage.com/cars/aos_y33ced/y33ced_start.jpg ex-r 09-29-2003, 04:06 AM Good to see more VIP cars being done. :) Can't wait to see how it goes. Purpura Delujo 09-29-2003, 05:30 AM Very nice looking car, I like the Cedric VIPS. EMAXX 09-29-2003, 09:05 AM WOW!!! I love that body style. Can't wait till this one is started. Keep us posted man, keep us posted. RyanGiorgio 09-29-2003, 05:50 PM Looks like its going to be VIP-tastic. Lol. malsheem 09-30-2003, 02:12 AM Didn't have as much time to work on things tonight as I wanted, but sprayed most the suspension pieces semi-gloss black. Brakes are done with Metallizer stainless steel. Calipers are still unpainted since I haven't decided if they'll just be black or some other color. http://www.quietrage.com/cars/aos_y33ced/y33ced_under.jpg I'm not fond of chrome, so the chrome exhaust and tips had to go. Bathed them in CSC to get the chrome off. Then sprayed with Alclad black and then Alclad polished aluminum. I also don't like the dual round tips. The dual square from the Celsior look better in my eyes. I might swap it out with another VIP muffler down the road. http://www.quietrage.com/cars/aos_y33ced/y33ced_under2.jpg malsheem 10-06-2003, 02:38 AM More progress. The chassis has been completed. Nothing fancy, just patches of semi-gloss black, flat black, and metallizers. http://www.quietrage.com/cars/aos_y33ced/y33ced_under3.jpg Now onto the interior. Meanwhile, the body has been assembled and primed. Pictured with Lowenhart LD-1 since they were lying around when I was taking pictures. http://www.quietrage.com/cars/aos_y33ced/y33ced_body.jpg cepat 10-06-2003, 05:07 AM Going to end up lookign very nice.
