Well sort of. See, the LED lights require very little juice for them to light. Again, the remote requires very little to transmit so it should work if you are close enough. Did you notice your range getting smaller and smaller or did it just quit? What kind of alarm is it? You might be out of sequence. Try holding down the remote lock/unlock for 30sec. and see if it catches back up. TheGreat 10-18-2003, 04:42 PM Sup, how do u reset the factory alarm on a 1991 g20 mines buggin out. ponchonutty 10-19-2003, 05:27 PM Sup, how do u reset the factory alarm on a 1991 g20 mines buggin out. Well most of the time I see with Infiniti and Toyo vehicles is that the pin switches go bad. Some have trunk and hood switches along with normal door switches. You can try by first paying attention to your domelight to see if it comes on by itself or unplugging the trunk or hood sensor. If you want to disable it completely, look under the dash to the theft module. The factory disarm wire is green/yellow. Make sure if you take that wire permenately to ground that it doesn't keep the domelights on. I had to do this on a brand new Kia Sportage. It was the hood sensor setting it off. gsrlbs 11-21-2003, 12:07 PM I have a 92 G20, the factory alarm is randomly not letting me start the car, along with other problems. It seems to be pretty well integrated with 2 warning relays, pins for each door, trunk and hood. It doesnt have a remote it just gets activated with the key. So basicly every time you lock and unlock the door or put the key in the ignition it activates or deactivates the alarm. I just want to be able to turn the damn alarm off, is it as simple and just pulling the power to the alarm unit? or will that cause more problems? :banghead: ponchonutty 11-21-2003, 07:03 PM I have a 92 G20, the factory alarm is randomly not letting me start the car, along with other problems. It's either a short in the disarm wire or the switch that sits on the lock mechanism is going bad. You might want to try the pass. side when this happens. I think you can disarm on either front door??? teaves 11-23-2003, 04:10 PM please help me. My security sytem has somehow locked up. can you help me on how to fix it? You might want to find a good local alarm shop that would be willing to look at it??? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
