Cutting outjongould 09-26-2003, 09:02 AM Hello there. My Bluebird 1.6 has been doing excellent service for years and it`s only got 150k on the clock too, but it has developed an annoying fault now Autumn is coming in. When cold it has a tendency for the engine to die about 2 mins after starting. Basically it starts perfectly every time, but if you are driving round town and stop at the lights, it just gives up unless you keep some throttle on it. It restarts ok and when fully warm it never misses a beat. Is there anything in the choke mechanism that might cause a purely cold weather fault like this?
