The truck has an electrical that requires an adaptor. Look around in different parts stores- prices are hi 70s for the part in a NAPA to 30 bucks at Tractor Supply. You'll smoke the wiring without this thing. Comes with a nice set of plug-in connectors, no cutting, clean and nice. dfskinner 05-06-2004, 10:43 AM Yep, joetc5 is right, you're gonna smoke your electrical is you don't buy the adaptor, and it's soo easy. jbritan 01-16-2008, 10:45 PM ok so all my lights work but when i brake they cut off anyone have an idea why plz help Flash75 01-17-2008, 06:13 AM Which lights cut off when you brake? Do you have a plug for hooking trailer lights? Provide as much information as possible. Clifton comobabi 04-29-2008, 01:08 PM The Tacoma has 3-wire turn signals. You will want to run a single wire from the Tacoma brake lights to the trailer brake lights, and a separate wire from each Tacoma signal light to each trailer turn signal. This will allow you to install yellow signals on the trailer. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
