Driving Ambition Re-Print?cche2052 09-21-2003, 06:19 AM Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone could help me with some information regarding the Driving Ambition book. Amazon.com is selling the book with a ordering time of 1-2 months...And Virginbooks.com apparently has it in stock. Is the book being reprinted? If so, why is it still going for so much on eBay? Anyone have any suggestions how to get one at the best possible price? McLaren F1 Guy 09-21-2003, 11:05 AM I just bought mine from exoticar.com yesterday . It has to be back ordered, so it will take about 30 days just for it to get to exoticar, and then about another week for them to mail it to me. The total price was $56.90. The ones your looking at on eBay might be a different edition that costs more than a regular one. mini magic 09-21-2003, 11:48 AM i thought the one on exoticar was gone? damn, i was gonna get that :banghead: . Yes it believe it has been reprinted and the ones on ebay i believe are the originals, i have 2, both originals and i may get a reprint cause my 1st one is in pretty bad shape from scanning it and stuff, and so i may get a cheaper one. i suggest that if u want one, get it now, the price is always going up McLaren Superfan 09-21-2003, 01:22 PM few months ago on amazon, saw it on ther 4 25£ McLaren Superfan 09-21-2003, 01:25 PM i correct myself, i just checked on amazon and this is wat i found: Buy new (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/offering-page/index=fixed-price&field-offering-type=new&field-asin=1852278412&field-status=open&size=25&rank=+price/ref=sdp_srli_u/026-7232700-4286803): £175.00 Buy used (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/offering-page/index=fixed-price&field-offering-type=used&field-asin=1852278412&field-status=open&size=25&rank=+price/ref=sdp_srli_u/026-7232700-4286803): £249.00 don't quite no how it works out the used one is more expensive?! cche2052 09-21-2003, 01:36 PM Is exoticar.com if i'm buying from Australia? I tried. I ordered back in January with a 1-2 week "estimated" delivery. It was extended multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) times before they sent me an email saying they couldn't locate it (six months after the original order). The used copy I later found through Amazon was not in the described condition, so I now use it for my daily, thumb through copy. I did eventually get a pristine new copy off of eBay. Peloton25 11-03-2003, 11:42 PM Anyone have an update on this? Is there an new ISBN for the reprint? I would like one more copy, and I'm certain there are others that would buy in as well. I don't really feel like paying Ebay prices and I could care less if I get a "first print" copy or not. Thanks in advance! >8^) ER jkbon 11-04-2003, 03:11 AM I have "bought" this book in a bookshop in july and still waiting for it ! scoob 11-04-2003, 08:01 AM www.amazon.co.uk have Driving Ambition for £50 - previously it was £250 second hand. I guess this must be the second edition that Virgin promised. amazon in the US are quoting $65.95 for a new copy. 350Zyprexa 11-04-2003, 02:44 PM I just bought one off the shelf at Border's in the U.S., it was just sitting there, no special order or anything and F-1+Jet poster included. I paid $65.00 U.S., sounds like U brits are getting jacked on the price! I would order it from Border's web site and ship it to U.K. if I were U. scoob 11-04-2003, 03:09 PM We always get ripped off on price here in the UK and chances are the book is printed here too. It could be worse - the usual exchange rate is 1 to 1 when buying anything. I was recently trying to buy a CD case in the London branch of Borders. They hadn't bothered changing the marking from $ to £. It was $15.99. When I offered them £10 they said no it had to be £15.99. I told them they could keep it :( mini magic 11-04-2003, 03:25 PM there was one i saw in north carolina that i saw for $50 at some wierd book shop. it took me two days to decide not to get it (i have 2 and it was in pretty bad condition) McLaren F1 Guy 11-04-2003, 04:20 PM Mine should be coming any day now...I have a feeling it won't come for a while vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
