Air bag cover?Autoflow 09-20-2003, 01:13 AM I took all the screws out of the top part of the dash, the big peice that covers the airbag, but i cant seem to get it up is their any thing i missed? decepticav 09-20-2003, 09:22 AM There is an resource out there called carstereohelp.com - it has a printable 7-step process to get the dash out. There are full-color pics with yellow arrows on them that show you where all of the screws are. I am tearing into mine in a week or so, so I hope it works! I will include a list of needed tools, etc once I get it out. While I've got the whole thing opened up, I plan to add blue LEDs to all my vents, reface my HVAC guage w/ a white one, and paint all the vent covers white to match. -Steve owner of DeceptiCav (pics coming soon) Autoflow 09-20-2003, 11:09 PM Yeah the leds in the vents looks good i did it a few months ago. I put red ones in the center and strobes in the outer ones. Now i want to change the bulbs behind the guages and paint all the interior black cause i thikn the dark grey looks dumb. gmricepilot 09-21-2003, 11:09 PM Hey Guys, Well for those of you going ahead and pulling off your dashes be very careful. Ensure that you get all of the 20-30 or so screws it takes to remove the dash. You can't just take one piece of the dash off unfortunately, you have to remove the entire thing. I have done this twice. The lights will look really good in the vents. I put red strobes in every one of my vents about three years back. It is one of two mods I made that I will never change. When painting the vents ensure that you take your time. Also, it helps to go ahead and scuff them. You can get a scuff pad at any retail or wholesale automotive paint shop in your area. By doing this you ensure that the paint sticks to the vinyl. Trust me on this one. The first time I did it I ignored my brother(an autobody technician) and the results were horrifying :banghead: . I have painted every single piece of vinyl in my car, to include behind the folding back seat(Z-24 model) Also, to protect it put a good coat of clear coat on it. This will keep it from chipping. Without it, it is very fragile. If you have any more questions about interior work you can e-mail me at jason.r.palmer@us.army.mil. I have rebuilot my entire interior. Nothing is stock and all of the work was done by me to include the system. Autoflow 09-22-2003, 12:13 AM do you have any pics of your interior? gmricepilot 09-22-2003, 06:00 AM Unfortunately all of the pictures of my interior are not digitized. Howevergive meabout a month and I am going back tothe U.S. to make some major mods to the entire car. Benefits of going to war. I will be taking a ton of pictures of the car going thru its changes from the old to the new. This is to include all the way down to the white carpeting that I am putting in underneath the red billeted floor mats. Anyone interested can just send an e-mail to me telling me that youare interested in seeing pictures of the interior and when it is complete I will send them to you. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
