I was looking to buy a 93 to 97 delsol (hopefully 96 and up) to swap in a GSR motor, axles, and tranny. I was hoping to find something for $1K or less because all I am really interested in is the body. Problem is, all I can find is used car lots that want $3K and up. Anyone have any good search tips? I have a house in northern NJ and one outside of Philadelphia in PA, and I would be willing to drive to find the right car.

You'll be hard pressed to find any Del Sol for $1,000 unless it's had the crap beaten out of it or wrecked. They don't make these anymore and they weren't cheap when they were in production. $3,000 minimum sounds about right for these. If you just want the body, you should probably stick with an S model from 1993 for cheapest price.
