How difficult is it to replace the alternator yourself on a 1996 Nissan Altima?

You probably got it fixed but it is easy. Just take off the passenger tire and remove the little access panel there it is 4 screws. Loosen the idler pulley lock screw and adjust the screw on bottom by turning counter clock wise until you can get the belt off. Then Loosen up the alternator lock bolts and mount bolts. Push the alternator towards the back and remove the belt. Remove all connectors and mount bolts and the alternator comes right out. You will probably have to remove the top radiator hose to get it out. Install in reverse method. Took me about 1 hr total work to change mine. But I just joined today so I figure you got it fixed but just trying to be helpful
