anyone know if 96 I30's amber plate/cover in the taillight is connected to the red one or not.. I know in maxima's, you can only take the amber out of the 97-99 ones, not the earlier ones..

they arent connected. you can buy clear headlights though if you want to get rid of that ugly orange piece...

not sure if you are talking about tail lights or headlights... Are you saying i can pop out the amber piece from the TAILLIGHTS?? I already do have the cefiro headlamps tho!! nicccccccce.

Well there are 2 different types of mods to your 96-99 tail lights.

Both are similar in technique of removal, but have different results.

Here are examples:

*notice how they are a little frosty

*notice how they are completely clear, but you can see the bulb.

Some people don't like the bulb to be seen.

If you haven't done this before, I might opt for buying them from someone who has done it. Its pretty messy and you can crack the lens cover VERY easily.
