If a 1.8 lt integra engine with vtec can make 200+ hp stock on pump gas couldnt it be possible for honda to take two of these engines and mate them into a very v8 that would make 400 hp out of 3.6 lt of displacement. Is there any reason this would not work ?? Any incite is appreciated.

larger engines are less efficent, an engine in V formation is less efficent than a straight engine are 2 reasons.

now that i look at this again...
what if the engine was a straight 8, with 4.4 displacement.. making 400 horse (basically 2 H22A engines put together)... minus some drivetrain loss.. i mean, dam.. youd have one bad ass car :grinyes: :icon16: ...

and imagine if it was an option in a smaller honda :eek7: s3000.. :sly:

bmw has been doing it for years most of their cars are str8 6's but if you go into the 7 series then it becomes a v-8 a v enging is more of a space saver too. gm has finally adopted this with the trail blazer envoy and those 6's turn out 275. holly freeholles
