i am going to be changing my shift knob soon, and i need to know how to take the stock shift knob off. I tryed to twist it off but that didt work, and i didnt see any screws in the knob.. So, how do i take it off?

Well I have a 91 cav Z24 and to get my shifter off I had to take out a pin. Mine was on the front of the shifter (facing the dash) and there is a little steel bar. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and grab on to it. Pull it and it will come out. It is in the shape of a horse shoe. Then the shifter should come right off.


Hope that your cars shifter is somewhat the same.
