im sorry if this question has been asked before but what is the difference between powersliding and drifting :confused:

"overpowering" (probably not the most accurate way to describe it though) the rear wheels to get the rear end to slide out, obviously this is only possible on a RWD car.

If you look through this forum, there is a thread entitled "what is drifting" (or something very close to that) that I started, which has some discussion of how the overpowering of the rear wheels is incorporated into drifting of RWD cars.

Could someone please actually describe what powersliding really is? Because I don't know the exact definition of it.

Powersliding is a basic drifting technique used in rear wheel drive cars. Simply, it's one of many ways to initiate a drift. As you're turning into a curve simply step on the accelerator. You'll overpower the rear tires and they'll break traction. Just stay on the accelerator to increase the drift angle, then modulate so as not to spin out.
