I've got me a '94 GS-R sedan with AEM CAI, JRSC (still at only 6 psi - I am giving Endyn more time to finish their supercharger kit - if they don't deliver in the next 12 months or so, I am going to have them port my JRSC and supply me with a Thompson Megatube intake and a 3" pulley for higher boost pressure), DC 4-1 headers, high-flow cat, Mugen twin-loop exhaust, Powerstop cross-drilled rotors with Metal Matrix pads up front, Autometer Boost and Air/Fuel ratio gauges, and an Alpine six disc changer in the trunk.

Future plans include larger fuel injectors and fuel rail, higher boost level (or Endyn supercharger kit - as mentioned above), Endyn forged FI pistons and rods, along with new bearings, and either a J&S Ultra safeguard or ZDyne custom ECU. I want to safely run 300 whp.

86 Accord LX, stick and stock. almost 180k miles. Could be getting a 98 Accord upon graduation from college (may, 02), but will be looking for a Prelude or Integra if I stay in the north. If I head south to the warm weather, sorry to say I'll become a traitor and shoot for the Miata.

justin@af
02-19-2001, 01:31 PM
Stick with HONDA...don't go with the Miata...they are slow in comparison to the Prelude and Higher model Tegs and of course the V-6 Accords...If you're getting it for the convertible, why not S2000...or My lude has a sunroof and thats good enough for me here in FL

ichthus
02-19-2001, 02:42 PM
I'd be getting it purely for the convertible, and looking to spend well below $20k. I'd probably find the cheapest Miata with the newer body style and pick it up. Trust me, I will return to Honda later on with the S2000, but I'd just be looking at something to drive for my first few years after graduation.

justin@af
02-19-2001, 06:24 PM
oh ic...hmmm...if u really need the convertible then i guess thats ok...just make sure u go back to honda...hehe...how bout a used 2000 MR2...by next year they will be about 20k...I'm not sure about alot less than 20k...Oh well miatas don't look too bad i guess. Just hate to lose someone in the Honda family.

I converted my step-dad to Honda (he's bought 3 since '95 and will buy another within a year), along with a couple friends and others. All told, I'll claim responsibility for at least 7 Honda sales so far. they're in my blood.

besides that, I hate hot temps so moving south isn't exactly a dream of mine...and I don't intend to get the Miata unless I do.

justin@af
02-19-2001, 11:58 PM
The weather here isn't too bad...I like it better than up north where the snow keeps u from driving fast...hehe

Oh well i kinda understand where you're coming from...but still woulda liked to see a Honda

I drive an '89 Accord LX-i, bone stock with a manual tranny. Never have I seen a more reliable car with so many things wrong with it.

For my next car I was thinking hard about a fourth generation Prelude, but now I'm really leaning towards a second generation MR2, especially if I can find a turbo in decent shape. A car automatically get bonus points with me if the engine is somewhere behind the driver.

I don't know why everyone says that wheels affect acceleration so much....honestly I barely notice any difference...perhaps because my interior is STRIPPED!!!!:D

Well, in the good ole US of A, they teach us physics. So, I am not going to explain the physics in a bigger rim diameter. ;)

I know the physics of rotational inertia, but honestly i don't really notice any difference...I mean, it's not like I run on the strip every day, or drag people off at the lights, plus I only use it the rex in the weekends....so maybe i've lost a couple of tenths....it doesn't bother me!

It's like buying an intake....sure it will sound nicer, sound faster etc etc, but how much will it affect your times? gain 0.1sec over the quarter, big deal! If someone said they ran a 14.8 and dropped to a 14.6, that wouldn't impress me as much as someone saying they had 18's on a CRX v 17's. For me the ultimate car must have the looks and the go, both in a straight line and around corners.

Just my $0.02

Of course i said that moppie....only after you said it first!

I wish I had the easy money! The number of people that have their car and mods handed to them, is kinda depressing at times, and make it hard when the same people keep saying why don't you do this, or buy those...not that I have tall poppy syndrome or anything, but it would be nice to know hot cars are owned by people that have worked hard to get them that way.

I have a Honda Accord 99 EX VTEC V4.
Love it. You can see a picture of it at:

Back:

Front:
http://www.parkblue.com/e3/sevan-starchild/pages/IMAGE025.htm

I am starting with putting some neon lights. Does green match well with white? How much you think I should spend on neon lights for under the car? $200? I want it mostly all over the place. Prefer sides and back. Not really front.

I have put 2 blue lines on top of my front lights. It looks very sweet. Kinda like the car is sleeping. Also got a blue diamond sticker on the hood. Changed the honda sign at the back to red color. I had one blue neon light at the car's bottom near the trunk but it got stolen somehow. With that went a blue honda sign that would light up when I turned my lights on :(

Well, I need an alarm :)
