cell shaded/cartooned jaguar8ate8 09-02-2003, 02:49 PM For a recent contest. original: http://www.jerseyrice.com/rc/01/original.jpg cell shaded: http://www.jerseyrice.com/rc/01/07.jpg LadyLuke 09-02-2003, 06:06 PM fuckin awesome as usual. its sooo clean spididdy 09-02-2003, 06:30 PM damn youve got the best cell shadings ive seen Dr.AK 09-02-2003, 09:10 PM yeah looks crey good, and clean. but i am sad to say i don't like your cellshading style much... on 'real' cellshadings like they are used in comics or so, the shadings don't have these black lines all around them. they distract the viewer a bit from the cars bodylines... Import_Tuner 09-03-2003, 01:08 PM Hey I really like this! Nice style. Honkeytonk Monkey 09-03-2003, 01:11 PM Looks good, but I'd remove the black outlines around any places that don't have an actual body line :) 8ate8 09-03-2003, 02:15 PM You do your way, I'll do my way. :) This is the way I've done all my cartoonings and they've all produced positive results which everyone has liked. Granted it may not be the "traditional" way to cell shade, but it produces a good picture, no? And that's what counts. jsb88 09-04-2003, 11:06 AM Think they would let me p/x my jag for that cartoon one? I really love that style, very clean, oh and those lines are good in my opinion  It would be good to see the jag featured in films and cartoons, and thats what I think is a good take on a cartoon directors Jaguar, you have stuck so closely to the actual body contours and shape. Good choice of subject, in case I hadn't already said  CivicLeader 09-04-2003, 01:48 PM Friggin' awesome bro.... Man...I've gotta learn that style of c-shading... I'll have to pm u soon... CL numbware 09-04-2003, 04:46 PM :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: 8ate8 09-04-2003, 07:46 PM I'm working on creating a tutorial. The next cell shade I do I'll work on it, so don't PM me asking how, cuz i'm not gonna say yet. In a nutshell, you use the line tool to outline the body lines and different colored areas. Then use the lasso tool and paint bucket to fill them it. Give me time and I'll get ya something more elaborate. Glad ya guys like it. And jsb88, what do you mean by "Think they would let me p/x my jag for that cartoon one?"? jsb88 09-05-2003, 03:02 AM I think the cartoon one looks even better than my one :grinyes: 8ate8 09-05-2003, 09:07 AM Actually I was referring to the 'p/x' of that statement. Haven't heard that abbreviation before. jsb88 09-05-2003, 11:52 AM p/x = part exchange, the car plus some cash to trade in. Slipknot 09-05-2003, 02:59 PM :bigthumb: jsb88 09-05-2003, 04:14 PM interesting bunch of people in your signature picture.... maybe I should refrain from visiting this "S&D" forum... :uhoh: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
