cooked some weird rice last night...NismoDrifts 12-02-2001, 12:49 AM riced out......get this........BRAVADA!!!!!!!!! no effort, at all, lol......oh well, it was a good laugh :) tweaker76 12-02-2001, 02:37 AM What do you think of the new Nissan Z or the release of the new Skyline under the Infinite name? http://www.nissandriven.com/vehicles/FutureVehicleDetails/0,9437,520,00.html http://www.motortrend.com/autoshows/tokyo01/index.html Tweak NismoDrifts 12-02-2001, 12:09 PM As far as performance is supposed to go (no numbers are absolutely sure at the moment), I love the new Z. As far as looks go, it's just a little bit too retro for my liking. I dunno, maybe it'll grow on me. As for the skyline being released under Infiniti....WTF?! The Skyline is a legendary oh my god performance pinnacle to a very large number of people in the states! Doesn't Nissan have any clue about this?! They would sell tons of those cars if they released them under the skyline name. They'd sell tons more if they didn't water it down! Hmm not like there are any import enthusiasts where i live, they all drive camaros vettes and stangs (Don't get me wrong, i love all three, but when you see them everywhere you kind of want something new). On top of that, we have morons (sorry, im thinking bout that because im looking at a 90's Grand Am on my road.................japanese kanji stickers all over it..... tweaker76 12-02-2001, 03:24 PM With the Skyline coming out as a 2003 car, that sounded very appealing. My only concern now is how stock can you buy this car. When I say stock I mean how non-luxury can you buy this car when it is released as the Infinite G35. Tweak bluevette74 12-02-2001, 05:10 PM IM not usually the one to take up for rice rockets! But i rode with my friend in a 98 civic, its got intake, exhaust, turbo, and to tell the truth it was pretty quick and i liked the handling of it! NismoDrifts 12-02-2001, 09:29 PM Yeah, the handling of imports is usually very appealing :) I got the impression that it was gonna be really luxury rich-snobified. I really try to stay away from that look and feel. tweaker76 12-02-2001, 09:51 PM Likewise. The parking lot at my work is nothing but VW, Volvo, Audi, and SUVs. I am hoping my next car could break that mold. Tweak RiceRocket 12-02-2001, 11:00 PM They're only keeping the Skyline as a luxury car but the GTR will be totally seperate and will remain as a sports monster. I think they only want to use the name, so i won't be disappointed... should still be good! tweaker76 12-02-2001, 11:02 PM Sounds good. I'll put it on my list as a car to check out. Tweak YogsVR4 12-03-2001, 03:00 PM Am I the only one here who gets tired of hearing about the Skyline? I dont like the looks of it and the performance numbers are not wowing me to death. (dont bother with the this mod and that mod arguement) Oh well, to each their own. Psman32@af 12-03-2001, 03:11 PM i am too yogs. I'm going wow thats not impreesive. I think it looks ok, but its not that great. thats just my opinion though. NismoDrifts 12-03-2001, 08:25 PM Yeah, thought id get flamed all over the place for saying i didnt like it (seen it at a couple of other forums). To be honest with everyone here, id take a Supra over it and be very happy with my decision. (or to keep with the nismo, import a silvia!!!!! wooohoooo!!!!!) hakka 12-03-2001, 09:58 PM hey..me four:D It sounds like a pretty nice car...not really a road rocket, not that great looking, but still not too bad. I just dont see why everyone loves it so much:confused: Explanations? AlexB 12-03-2001, 10:19 PM Hey bluevette............Damn a riced out civic... never heard that one before! :D If you do it right, they can be some fast mofo's because they weigh 2000lbs. How many hp do you think it had and what do you think it ran? How was the traction? bluevette74 12-04-2001, 12:59 PM Gosh i dont know really, just an estimate. Probably around 250hp, it probably ran in the 14's, very good traction especially since we were racing while it was sprinkling. The main thing i liked about it, it was a normal car until you mashed down and then the turbo kicked in. I reall liked the turbo blow off! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
