What car to build up?darkdanny 08-29-2003, 05:28 PM I'm having trouble deciding what car I want to get to build up. I need something that would be easy to work on, with easy to find parts. I'm leaning towards a honda, but not sure which one. Thinking about Civic, CRX, and Prelude. I want about 180-200 hp and plenty of torque with emphasis on acceleration. The handling of the car is very important. I would likely upgrade the suspension, brakes, wheels, and anything else that doesn't perform like I want. I'd like to have an automatic, as I will be driving it to work everyday. Good gas mileage would be a plus. I don't want to get too wild with engine modifications, as I want to keep the car for a while(no nitrous). I would like to buy the car cheap, and work on it for a few months maybe. I'd like to spend under $10,000 when it's all said and done. Any help would be greatly appreciated. unwritten 09-07-2003, 12:35 PM I assume you want to build up a 4 cylinder car, so I'd go with a Civic or Integra, if you wanted to build a V8 up Id say go for a Mustang. Alex_Perry 09-10-2003, 10:27 AM depending on how much your willign to spend, go to your local parts store (that sells performance parts) and see what cars have a fairly large aftermarket. something like a mustang is going to have more companies marketing go-fast parts than a k-car :) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
