Hey, i'm new to the forum and I have a question. I'm looking at an N/A 91' RX-7 with 105k miles on it. I've heard really mixed reviews about 2nd gen. RX-7's some saying it's unreliable and others saying it's bulletproof and i'm trying to find out which one is true. I haven't driven the car yet, let alone listen to it or looked at it idle, but quite frankly with a rotary engine, I woudn't know what to look for or listen to. So whats the story with 91' RX-7s? In general are what can you tell me about them

RX7;s are as good as you take care of them. My 87 my mother bought new and we ran almost 300k on it before a minivan rear ended me. Even with over 225k when I got it I was able to mod the engine and make it scare (and beat some) mustang GT's. so I feel there is a lot of potential in the rotory that isnt possible in a piston engine.

So do the maintenance religiously and you'll be fine.
