ugly ticketRicochet 08-26-2003, 02:58 PM My speeding ticket from a couple weeks ago shows this on it 88 in a 55 No front plate Proof of Insurance: no Pavement: dry Visibility: clear Weather: no adverse Traffic: heavy Area: business Crash: no xRemarks: Speed 12/12/02 ACDA 1/30/03 (assured clear distance or whatever) All I did was pass somebody and blammo, a cop was right there on the side of the freeway. Of course it was in a small area where it goes from 65-55 to top it off. I have insurance, just didn't have proof at that time. I think I'm screwed on this one... whiteracer 08-26-2003, 04:38 PM and what's your reason for doing 88 in a 55?! :nono: that's assuming he clocked it. But with your motor, i'd be passing people too. Ricochet 08-26-2003, 07:59 PM But with your motor, i'd be passing people too. I know man, sometimes it subconciously MAKES me do it... 99civic03 08-26-2003, 09:31 PM Man, Im surprised you havent been busted yet for racing all these clowns you tell us about. I guess if I had that motor Id be runnin people every chance I got too :bigthumb: b16rex 08-26-2003, 10:21 PM Sorry to hear about that man, I hate pigs! Are you getting your license taken away or do you know? How much was the ticket for? 88 in a 55 :banghead: Ricochet 08-27-2003, 12:26 AM I might, who knows. I go to court on the 9th. Oh yeah I had another ticket two weeks after this one, 83/65. I talked him down to 73/65... He went on about how the gov't is pouring almost unlimited money into getting this stretch of highway completely swarmed w/cops because of all the accidents and speeding. That little 2 mi. stretch is like half of my drive to work. yaaaay. KamiKaze Accord 09-01-2003, 12:30 PM got my first ticket last night, racing some Tib. 80/55, but i know a few guys who are friends with a judge, so i should be able to get it dropped. 98-integra 09-01-2003, 01:15 PM hey i got my 2nd one about 2 years ago when i 1st got my 98 integra 115 in 55 but she drop it to 95 in 55 so she wouldnt have to take me to jail i was on my way to work i losted a lic. for 180 very long days and had to do CS 44 hours at the local DAV thats where i was on 9-11 but i have learn to try and keep my speed down and you should try and do the same im only 21 years old and i not try to tell you how to drive but something you need to think about when going fast a lot of stuff can go wrong you might have full control over your car but the people you are passing might see you coming up on them so fast and pull out in front of you it not always easy to slow down when going that fast just remembler speed does kill i love and live for racing and speed but dont get killed over it good luck in court Ricochet 09-01-2003, 02:26 PM hey i got my 2nd one about 2 years ago when i 1st got my 98 integra 115 in 55 but she drop it to 95 in 55 so she wouldnt have to take me to jail i was on my way to work i losted a lic. for 180 very long days and had to do CS 44 hours at the local DAV thats where i was on 9-11 but i have learn to try and keep my speed down and you should try and do the same im only 21 years old and i not try to tell you how to drive but something you need to think about when going fast a lot of stuff can go wrong you might have full control over your car but the people you are passing might see you coming up on them so fast and pull out in front of you it not always easy to slow down when going that fast just remembler speed does kill i love and live for racing and speed but dont get killed over it good luck in court holy run-on sentence man... I know about all that crap, I'm 24 and (will) have built 26 points against my record since the day I started driving, all for speeding but two for accidents that were hardly my fault. I'm very safe when I speed but tend to get caught doing it a lot I guess. esp 09-01-2003, 03:19 PM well here in wisconsin, anythin over 25 over the speed limit, automatically makes it a felony charge and your license gets taken away, not fun. Redrunner 09-01-2003, 04:59 PM . I have insurance, just didn't have proof at that time. I know here in KS if you dont have you proof of insurance but you have it all you have to do is show proof when you go to court and you get no ticket Ricochet 09-01-2003, 05:35 PM I know here in KS if you dont have you proof of insurance but you have it all you have to do is show proof when you go to court and you get no ticket I'll still get the speeding ticket, but I won't get in trouble for not having insurance. civic99sky 09-04-2003, 01:02 AM I know here in KS if you dont have you proof of insurance but you have it all you have to do is show proof when you go to court and you get no ticket Where at in kansas? KoRnboy 09-04-2003, 12:23 PM Tell me about it, I've been taking it easy for the past 10 months... Don't want to press my luck. :sunglasse T!mmy 09-04-2003, 12:40 PM lol got a question. Where can you go to get a book or something on the internet and find out all the stupid laws that they can screw you over on? Like the decibel level, headlight, etc, etc. And I dont' want a fuckin pig tellin me if it is or not I want to read it MYSELF! lol :evillol: YogsVR4 09-04-2003, 07:01 PM Ricochet - you need to take it easy out there man. It looks like you can control your car at those speeds, but if you keep it up - they'll be taking your car away . KoRnboy - a 16 year old friends with a judge and letting you walk away from 65 over the speed limit? :bs: Ricochet 09-04-2003, 07:24 PM :bs: I agree... KoRnboy 09-05-2003, 12:43 AM I'm not shitting you... I had a $100 fine and a 1 month period where if I even got a ticket for parking in the wrong place then he said I would have that ticket show up. After that month I didn't have to worry. You can believe me or not, but I shit you not. PreludeMOFO 09-07-2003, 03:02 AM oh god dont even get me started on the pigs up here in minnesota, a lil suburb of minneapolis called maple grove. STAY AWAY FROM HERE AT ALL COSTS! the pigs are so bad up here it makes me wanna vommit. they hide on a stretch a freeway where it converts from a 70 to a 60 so they do the ole' bitch move and pull people over as soon as they cross the 60 mile an hour sign. and not to mention there are about 5 of them on a 3 mile stretch of road. Nothing ever happens crime wise up here so they have nothiong better to do than harrass the local driver. and a tip that ive found to work incredably well: when the cop tells u how fast you were allegedly going, make sure to ask to see the radar gun. These sons a bitches make up the speed half the time. This lil trick has gotten me outta 2 tickets! and my bro has got 3 tickets soo far with his firebird (2 of which were in the same week) and he has yet to see an increase in insurance. KamiKaze Accord 09-07-2003, 10:24 AM dunno where youre from, but here in SC, they dont have to radar you. Theyre allowed to estimate your speed and ticket you based on that. :swear: KoRnboy 09-07-2003, 06:47 PM dunno where youre from, but here in SC, they dont have to radar you. That's lame. :headshake Just make sure you have a couple doughnuts with you at all time, and bribe the cop... "Bad cop! No doughnut for you!" vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
