I am planning an upgrade of my stock stereo system. It now has the 6-speaker setup with the tweets in the doors. Do any of you know if this stock system is a component speaker setup? I found a mysterious NEC box in the trunk with what looks like a bunch of speaker wire going into it. Could it be a crossover/amp?

Any recommendations on an upgrade?

Not exactly sure what you mean by NEC box.. What type of sounds are you looking for?

Super hard hitting bass? Clean sounding stereo? There are so many different ways you can go with it.
