Im sorry i can't help you, but i have a question for you. What engines will swap into a camry LE? and where did you find your exhust system (its tight!) ToyotaTech 03-18-2004, 03:47 AM u guys are watching jesse james too much onehotcamry 03-18-2004, 03:50 PM u guys are watching jesse james too much haha lol not really if u go to toyotanation.com there are ppl that have swapped the 3s-gte motor (celica/mr2 jspec motor) in camry's. also u can do ne thing to a car w/ enough money. i had a shop custom make my exhaust. its a catback dual exhaust cuz my bumber had dual slots. it was tight though. u even could just put a muffler on if u wanted too. Georgieo101 03-18-2004, 06:47 PM I noticed you had a cold air intake under the hood, i have been debating about getting one of these. can you notice the diffrence in hp? or is it not really worth it. onehotcamry 03-18-2004, 10:14 PM I noticed you had a cold air intake under the hood, i have been debating about getting one of these. can you notice the diffrence in hp? or is it not really worth it. there isnt really a noticeable increase in hp, maybe a little. the intake really makes a lot of noise. it has a deep sucking sound when ur a WOT and it sounds pretty nice. almost sounds like a turbo some ppl have told me lol AJ236 03-19-2004, 07:40 PM Check Ripp Mods dot com. They have bolt on superchargers and stuff. You may come to find out (as I have) that an engine mod like that will cost you more than buying the same year Camry with the Six cylinder in it. Unless you already have a heap of cash in your ride, trade for the six. Calebz 03-20-2004, 03:34 AM I already have th V6 in my 94 XLE.. Need performance parts for that.. TRD makes a superchrger for the V6, but says its only for Gen 4 Camrys..any suggestions? AJ236 03-20-2004, 09:25 AM There is probably an aftermarket somewhere. I have seen them in passing for the V6, but since I have the little ol' I4, I just passed them by. But they are out there. Use an internet search engine for toyota tuning. I just saw a picture of a guys Gen3 V6 with a supercharger. Using that search engine. Some SC3 car club, southern califonia camrys club or something. onehotcamry 03-21-2004, 04:40 PM you guys should all check out ... this is the best website for toyota's they also have a camry section w/ a lot of people. check it out No advertising of competitor's websites Brian R. needforspeed9 12-02-2009, 09:47 AM hey i have a 1987 camry and it has no balls. i wanna drop a supra or an mr2 motor in it but idk how hard or expensive it is to do it. what would be a good and relatively easy swap to do? Brian R. 12-02-2009, 10:30 AM There is a discussion of Camry engine mods in the FAQ thread. joshspeed 12-16-2009, 01:57 PM I would definately say that you don't want to try and put a 2JZE-GTE (Supra, IS300 motor) in your camry... not only would you have to cut or beat back the fire wall, but you would get into heavy cost of trying to find a new rear end, and change it out. Although I have always dreamed of making my '98 LE into a speed demon lol... And there is nothing wrong with looking into doing awesome stuff with your car... Useless, you think you are like Jesse James comments we could all do without... find another string to post on please... negativity is not needed or desired here. joshspeed 12-16-2009, 02:01 PM You could see what other vehicles have the XLE motor in it, and see if any performance parts are made for that vehicle. Some things might need to be modified to work, but the priciple is there. I would recommend starting small with something like an underpulley kit to get a little bit of ooomph lol... you could also look into aftermarket chips, air induction products, and other small things to gain HP. I believe that an underpuller system will add around 15-25 HP, just by lightening the workload on the engine. Check it out.... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
