you can't twin turbo an Inline anything, as since there is only one bank of cylinders, you only have one exhaust manifold. if you want tt's, your only option (and what new body style supra's do) is to put two turbos in the same exhaust, which is retarded and why most high HP supra owners take out both turbos and replace it with one big one

can't twin turbo an inline anything? You own a Nissan and don't even know about Skylines? They have a twin turbo I6.

Can't Actually truely "twin turbo" anything, sure you can stick on two successive turbos, or have the exhaust split at the manifold and then slap on a pair of turbos. Its still not a true twin turbo setup. Look at the 300ZX VG30DETT, that is a true twin turbo setup. In fact, its almost two seperate engines, two intakes (stemming from one filter), to banks of cylinders, two exhaust manifolds, dual exhaust all the way back, and a pair of turbos, one for each of the 1.5L engines strapped on there. All they share are the accessories and a balance tube

Why would you want to twin turbo a I4??? use all that exhaust gas to spin up a larger single and make much more power.

if u want to TT an Inline 4 take a small turbo that spools fast and have it infront of a large turbo that puts out high boost. That way u have less turbo lag ( u will have alot of turbo lag spooling a huge turbo on an I-4 ) and more power. I have also heard of people belting a smaller turbo for I-4's to give better spool times. I run twin turbos on my 292 I - 6 and it runs fine. A turbo on each header and both Y into 1 intercooler into the sealed Carb. It all depends on how much HP u want and how fast u want it.

Some SR20DET nut cases built a twin turbo version that runs efficently in japan. But you still dont hear much about them since single turbo is still far more efficent than A TT. Yes its possible to twin turbo a I4, you can do it like the Rb26DETT or 2JZ which is a I6 or you have have 2 exhaust ports rout to a turbo, and another two route to another turbo the two turbos then meet each other via hotpipe to IC, and force the air through. Although I4 doesnt produce that much gas to spool anything..small turbos would be needed. Still not efficent....
