Gas Mileage?Sol_Trance 08-21-2003, 09:38 AM What is everyone's gas mileage usually like? I know what Honda says it should be, but I was wondering what other real drivers under real conditions experience. Also, I bought my sol with Moda rims and the tires to go with them---do you think having this tire setup decreases gas mileage? Can mods decrease MPG? -Enrich your sol. edtrash 08-21-2003, 01:55 PM i am regularly getting 30 mpg, and that is local driving, nearly zero highway driving. i laugh at my suv co-workers! Plastic_Fork 08-25-2003, 02:01 AM I get around 25 -30mpg, but I do a lot of highway and city driving (that's Atlanta for 'ya). I'd estimate around 300 miles to the tank. My intake and wheels go on this week, so I'll see how my mileage is affected. And yes, depending on what you do, mods can affect gas mileage. :grinyes: mydelsolrocks 09-11-2003, 04:44 AM I have a 94 s with 192K mi and about a month ago I got just over 350 Miles /tank with my bosch platinum 4's But I bought new Denso's for my sol and now im gettil like 300 mp tank....Really not cool So i bought more bosch 4's and I'm still gettin like 300/tank...Dont know y mydelsolrocks 09-11-2003, 04:45 AM i mean 152k not 192k mi nZero 09-11-2003, 01:13 PM I've got a nearly-stock '96 S with 95k miles on it and on pure highway trips avg. 75MPH and no A/C top up I'll generally make 450mi+ to a full tank. The warning light generally comes on at about 400-420, which indicates a 2 gal. reserve. I've not toyed with running the tank straight to empty. I generally fill up with a gallon or so left in the tank, if the pumps and the tank volume in the manual are both accurate. For more normal driving conditions, mostly driving around town, I'll generally make between 325mi and 375mi to a tank. Plastic_Fork 09-11-2003, 08:18 PM Well, the intake's in and the wheels are on, but I didn't really notice any change in gas mileage. That's for mine though. You guys with the S model will probably get better gas mileage than my VTEC. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
