A/C cuts out in 2001 truck in hot weatherC H E V Y 08-19-2003, 04:31 PM Only in the hot month's here in texas my A/C will cut off. It will keep blowing but not cold air. The truck isn't overheating, the engine temp is fine. The Only way to get it to kick back on is get on the highway where the wind can cool the engine or turn it off and let it sit. Anyone know what the deal is? LaTruckScene.com 08-20-2003, 01:26 PM The pressure switch on your canister on your A/C has gone out. It get's stuck and stays open. Had the same problem, if you are still under warranty they will change it out for free. C H E V Y 08-20-2003, 01:35 PM Thank You So Much LaTruckScene.com 08-20-2003, 01:39 PM No problem.
