I like the shape and all
But I really like Type R version of the new Civic
The normal versions are kinda........normal :D

Didn't like it when pics first came out and still don't like it after seeing it at the dealers :(

Its nowhere near the shitbox that the Aztec is, but its on its way.

its pretty tight......the only thing i hate r the headlights.....the back and sides and everything else is tight......:D

I like it, and here's why:

—Those PR pics don't do the car justice. It looks much better in other pics.
—The engine
—The interior
—Throw some wheels on it and drop it...it will look great.

It reminds me to much of a ford focus. I don't really care for it.

geez has it been that long since i heard people layin the smack down on the 6th gen civics when they first came out. oh how history repeats itself. evolution is always a hard thing to deal with when a species is as conservative as ours. soon it will become commonplace like so many others before it and all will be forgotten about initial response. of course there are those rare occasions when something will never be accepted no matter how long of a time passes...ex. ford etzel or edsel (sp?), the " le'car", la gear tennis shoes, mullet hair cuts...you get the picture

Have you seen the gains on the RSX-S engine? I have a feeling everyone will enjoy the new generation of Honda motors. I don't think the weight will be a problem.

If that was my car i would gut the motor out throw it in my 93 coupe and dump that hunk of crap of a cliff!!!!!!

I agree, it will only be a matter of time before we start to adjust to, and fall in love with the new generation of civics, i too remember when i didn't like the 6th gen......now i own one.

opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one and they all stink... my a$$hole - i mean opinion - is they are butt ugly but hey to each his own...

this thing is hideous.. add a sliding door and it'll be a lowered minivan on dubs and 160 horsepower

Yeah, I gotta agree, I'm not feelin that car. Not just the piss color, but it almost looks like a VW/Focus crossbreed or something--like a focus front and a vw rear. It looks like it could have potential...I mean if it were dumped with a kit and a new paint job or something...never was a big fan of the hatch backs though. I do like the interior though. I dunno...I can't see myself rollin in one. I still think that I got the best style of Civic:D

I said the same thing on another forum and laid the "SMACK DOWN" on people :) They everyone who posted after me started saying "Yeah I like the car" :)

I would have to agree that 2700 lbs is a little heavy for a Hatchback but with the motor that will be in it.....i think it should do ok.:)

I may be mistaken but according to the newest Motor Trend, the RSX Type R will be coming to the USA in '04 along with the new CTR. I might just be imagining things, and it could be just the RSX-R comin.... Can someone who has the magazine check?:confused:

That is correct. Motor Trend reported it this month.

I just hope that Honda gets the idea that no one is gonna buy the hatch unless they buy it for the "Si" badge that they missed the last time around. Make the Civics sporty again, not trendy.

it looks like a running shoe. I think if it came down to it i might have to go SVT focus or sentra SER SPEC V, but im saving for an S4.

I agree about the weight of the car possibly being an issue. To really compete against the Sentra SE-R Vspec and Focus SVT it might have a better power to weight ratio (hence lightening) to be able to beat the SE-R Vspec (well just have to see). I like the the look alot! Everyhting about man! From the time I saw the Civic Type R when I was in Japan I have liked everything about that car!
