Race Transporter.Nobbys Nuts 08-16-2003, 04:38 AM DISCLAIMER: I in no way claim to have built this model but I am proud to own it. It was built by a good friend of mine Waki Chaplin as a birthday present. We always joked that if I kept racing my HARM 1/5th scale R/C Car and we won Lotto we would by a truck and go racing full time with Waki driving the truck. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/448330Truck.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/538093Truck2.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/482009Truck3.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/150009Truck4.JPG foggy01 08-16-2003, 04:47 AM i have seen this truck and i can tell you that the pics do not do it justice vere cool :smokin: Dr.AK 08-16-2003, 05:48 AM wow very nice ! is it just me or does that pic with that car in the inside looks skewed? Oo JDM Wagon 08-16-2003, 09:50 AM that is sweet. is the trailer scratch built? looks goodand i like the 1/5 rc in the trailer. EMAXX 08-16-2003, 10:51 AM Looks very cool. Nobbys Nuts 08-16-2003, 06:55 PM Sorry about the poor quality of a couple of these. Did something wrong with the camera. The trailer is from the Italeri Mercedes Race Transporter and a lot of the interior is from a kids playset. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/154915Truck5.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/321448DSCF0004.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/930773DSCF0005.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/338614Fifthscale.JPG Car is a 1/5th Scale HARM Pro Race car with 4 wheel Hydraulic brakes, race tuned pipe, Tuned clutch and Adjustable diff. Body is a Honda Accord painted to look like Aussie Legend Dick Johnsons EL Ford Falcon V8 Supercar. Was awesome to drive - like a Go kart without sitting in it. Midnight Racer 08-16-2003, 07:21 PM Looks great what scale is it? Nobbys Nuts 08-16-2003, 09:29 PM Looks great what scale is it? The truck and trailer is I believe 1/24th. Well the trailer definitely is - not sure on the truck but the wheel diameter is the same. The last pic is of my 1/5th Scale R/C car - it was 36 inches (Approx 1 metre) long and weighed in at about 25.5 pounds(or 11.5 kg) and was capable of 80 to 90 kph in a straight line but with the hydraulic brakes it would stop without locking up the wheels in about 26 feet (8 metres)from that speed. still which I hadn't sold it but then I guess I wouldn't be back building models myself would I! pettercardoso 08-18-2003, 06:38 PM How much can a "thing" like that cost you? (the 1:5) Nobbys Nuts 08-21-2003, 05:41 AM How much can a "thing" like that cost you? (the 1:5) That particular car cost me $4500.00 Australian. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
