Supra on the way: Tamiya Sard to wangan street conversionLayla's Keeper 08-16-2003, 12:37 AM Ahh, the joys of not liking where one project was going. I was building this as the JGTC Denso Sard Supra, but I botched up those huge striping decals, and because I bought the kit without tires I used a set from a Revell/Dragon 911GT1 and those split on the wheels. And the interior looked really boring in flat, semi-gloss, and gloss white and.... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: So, into the brakefluid and then primer. After that, I laid on two coats of Frosted Fuschia nail polish and one coat of Testors clear lacquer. The results, I'd say, speak for themselves... http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/835258Supra_1.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/986784Supra_2.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/583758Supra_3.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/490028Supra_4.JPG The new wheels are OZ's swiped from the Tamiya DTM Martini Alfa Romeo 155, and the exhaust wears a metal tip from a Fujimi Initial D SW20 MR2 (that admittedly needs to be shortened with a dremel or something). A passenger seat has already been swiped out of a BTCC Volvo Estate and modified for installation. This is the first modern import I've started that I'm actually being satisfied with the results as they come along. So, what do you folks think? Tommy Gunner 08-16-2003, 02:23 AM That color is looking good :bigthumb: bigfrit 08-16-2003, 04:13 AM indeed, it 's definately not your everyday model. But looks pretty nice with those rims and that colour. Oh, and could you clarify the notion "wangan street?" I ve read that so many times by now, but still left in the stupid's corner...
