VW New Beetle CompletedJuan Robles 08-15-2003, 10:44 PM This is my 99% finished New Beetle. It is painted in Grabber Green with engine enamel paint. It has been lowered a little bit and the brakes and the brakes mounting points were filed down to get the wheel/tires inside the fenders. Wheels were Fujimi Versus EU. Latter I will take some outdoors pictures. I love it!! :sunglasse :sunglasse EMAXX 08-16-2003, 02:44 PM :iagree: where's the B-pillar?? I knew there was something missing. I just couldn't really remember. Midnight Racer 08-16-2003, 03:08 PM Great work.Love the colour. :icon16: Juan Robles 08-16-2003, 05:05 PM Well the B pillar in the Tamiya kit came with the side windows. I broke one of these windows and finish the model thinking that later I can either cut the front half of the windows and keeping and installing the windows from the B pillars to the rear window or order the replacement window tree from Tamiya. :uhoh: But looking at the model that way it looks like a hardtop (think of the 60īs chevys like the belair). I like it that way. ( Do you notice that the rag top Beetle came with a little chrome trim as B pillar!? Juan Robles 08-16-2003, 05:26 PM As I told in the begining of this thread, here are the outdoors photos. Enjoy! :sunglasse http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/542260outvw1.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/365178outvw2.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/953986outvw3.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/673332outvw4.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/660074outvw5.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/255308outvw6.jpg Ferrari TR 08-16-2003, 06:28 PM Nicely finished!
