Mexico Thing???ThaLegend 08-13-2003, 02:55 AM I read in an earlier post that you can Import through Mexico??? If this is true I should be able to import one fairly easy :) I have alot of family in Mexico, and visit there frequently... I could stay there until my Skyline arrives, and until all the paper work is clear... Tell me more about importing thru mexico. flylwsi 08-13-2003, 05:10 PM you people don't get it. to have the car legally registered in the US, it doesn't matter where it goes to, comes from. to get it across the border, it's got to be legalized. see all the threads that are locked about legalization. sure, you could break the law, swap vin's, etc, but then you don't really have a skyline. and when you get into an accident, you're insured for whatever the vin is for. not a skyline. not to mention the fraud that you'd be pulling would be frowned upon in the US... meaning jail. omegasky 08-13-2003, 05:28 PM Originally posted by ThaLegend Tell me more about importing thru mexico. back to the top....:frown: not to be hatin' but none of us want's to recall a very stupid thread(and that is what it was) about trying to import through mexico, let me put it to you this way, BOTTOM LINE:it's not gonna work out as planned!!
