Winter wear and then some...

I will try my hardest to avoid driving my Black EX-L V6 6-Speed during winter (up here in Canada), but just in case, does anyone have any tips on winter tires?
Anything would be cool. Im working on storing this baby during white death season, but I would be hurting all winter (waiting to drive this machine).
Also, in Canada, there were only 500 (or so) of these babies released. Anyone know how to tell which one I got?
I met #1 by weird chance. She was driving thru from Calgary and had to stop here due to tire blow-out. It was sad seeing that baby wounded:(
Any tips on either question would be helpful

Blizzacks are good tires for the winter - www.tirerack.com You may want to get a set of cheap rims for the snow tires instead of mounting every season.

If you got something with steel wheels and covers and upgraded to nice wheels, that's the best use for them...don't sell them, just put your snow tires on them and use them during the winter. You don't want salt and sand messing up your nice wheels anyway.
