i dunno how many of you know about the ticket i got before. basically, in April, i was making a corner and lost the ass-end of my car on some ice and hit a curb. no damage was done to ANYTHING, not the car, not the curb, nothing, but somehow the police found out and i got slapped with a totally bullshit $325 careless driving ticket. naturally, i'm fighting the ticket in court, cause i did nothing careless. my court date is set for September 9th, and i don't want to buy a 240 or any other nice car before that date, just to be safe in the very slight case that something goes wrong. i really highly doubt anything will go wrong, because i didn't do anything illegal, and they've got nothing to call me out, but just to be safe, i'm not going to buy a nice car until after that court date.

what i was planning to do is just buy another $400 beater to drive for the next month. i obviousley need a car, as, in the 5 months of owning my Pontiac, i put over 12k (km) on it. even if it's just for a month, i can't live without my own car. there's a few late '80s 5-speed Accords and Preludes on autotrader.ca, most with high km, running, but under $500. i'll probably pick one up just for the next month and then ditch it after my court date.

id still get a 240 as a beater, there are tons of them out there for around $700. and insurance is pretty cheap too on the older ones. mine's only $100/mo

are the SE's the only ones with power locks and windows in the 91-93 version?

the se model is the same weight as the base model... what are you talking about...................... the only difference is 25 lbs for the spoiler. you act like there's a 700 lb man in your trunk.

My car doesn't have a spoiler it is an 89 but has powered everything. I think the spoiler weighs a little less then 25lbs it is fiberglass for crist sakes.
