Truck Or CarJBL85 11-27-2001, 03:32 AM Yeah thinking about it, which do chicks prefer more.... Now since rice is all trendy and shit, chicks are loving it....but whats the best way to go in your guys opinions AEstud 11-27-2001, 10:05 AM definately a car would suite best. DVSNCYNIKL 11-27-2001, 10:07 AM Depends on what you like. I'm partial to both for different reasons. I've had trucks so now, I'm more towards the car side and modding them. blacksnake98 11-27-2001, 10:09 AM Depends on the age group, and type of chicks you are going after. It seems the younger girls like the import stuff, but some do not. Luckily, I have both. I must say, just like in the country song, there's something women like about a pickup man...:) AEstud 11-27-2001, 11:27 AM lol...taking advice from a country song? Show's where this country is really going. And thats true blacksnake it does depend on the age group. JBL85 11-27-2001, 06:29 PM I guess I am getting a car then =) My dad has a Tundra which is a sweet truck, and I will get an accord coupe and fix that up, so I will have the best of both worlds. AEstud 11-28-2001, 09:39 AM thats the way to go these days.... blacksnake98 11-28-2001, 09:45 AM Don't conform, get the truck. Hell, get a Ford Lightning, any year will do.:D flylwsi 11-28-2001, 06:47 PM trucks are hella in check out streettrucks mag, or truckin, or any nice truck mag it all depends on the truck... i have a black s10 xcab 4.3l v6 w/ a cowl induction hood and some rally stripes... low on torq thrust 2s, dark tint, and it looks hella sick... chicks dig it as much as my lude... what my car has in high end and handling, the truck lacks, b/c it has a 100mph limiter, but hell, anything up to that, it gets there quick... reallll quick... and hell, a truck on air is just as sick, and you can roll 22s on trucks... i cant try that in my lude... http://www.streettrucksmag.com/images/issues/2001/DEC/navarroized.jpg or goto www.gr8ride.com and go to truckin JBL85 11-28-2001, 07:24 PM If i get a truck has to be left stock height, if I get a car its cheap to lower it =) ANd my dad wont really notice Otherwise a lifted tundra would be sweet flylwsi 11-28-2001, 08:02 PM it is fairly cheap to drop an s10. four inches up front is roughly 200 dollars plus 4in lowering blocks in the rear... same as a nice set of springs for a car. and labor should be similar... trust me, i've been through it all... i work at stylin concepts... veritable expert i am... JBL85 11-29-2001, 03:05 AM I dont like dropped trucks....my friend has a Baby BLue s10, it has a 3000$ paint job, fully shaved, looks nice. It use to be lowered, but when he bought it, his mom made him put it back at stock height. I like trucks....they just loose all purpose when they are lowered. LiuBei 12-07-2001, 01:50 PM I have a 2001 Civic and a 2002 Tundra. I would reccomend either. Especially the Tundra for a truck. Best damn truck I've ever driven, bar none. Hell go look at the crash test ratings, there is reason enough to buy one over anything else. If you want more info on a Toyota Tundra or any other Toyota truck or SUV go to tundrasolutions.com flylwsi 12-07-2001, 08:54 PM what does losing its purpose mean? i want a nice handling truck that looks good at cruise nite, and still hauls the dirt... mine does that, and i'll have pics when i put the summer rims back on... but, contrary to popular thinking, a truck does not lose any of its hauling capabilities, depending on what you use to drop it... if you use leaf springs with a lower rate, the handling goes way up, and the hauling gets cut down a bit, but my s10 will haul 400 lbs of dirt no prob with lowered leaves.... so what is your purpose for a truck? everyone here has a customized ride to some extent, and pretty much everyone is gonna say you should do SOMETHING with the suspension. stock sucks. in alotta aspects... so lift it or drop it, and a mild drop aint bad... for example... the s10 extreme, or any s10 with the zq8 package on it has a 2in drop from the factory, as well as good hauling capability... also, the lightning and harley edition trucks are dropped.... so is it ok for a factory hot rod to be low then? and, it is more expensive to lift a lowered truck back to stock height b/c of the price of the parts, especially factory ones... i pretty much got the truck thing understood, but if you want to buy a civic, would you drop it? wouldnt it lose its purpose then, b/c you would scrape on stuff? :licker: JBL85 12-08-2001, 01:25 AM Uhh truck = useful for off roading and not having to slow down for a speed bump... lowering it...whats the purpose yes it can still tow.....but we have a 6000lb boat.....wouldnt be fun trying to pull that out of the harbor when its dropped anyhow i am sure your lil' s10 has its purpose for you lowering large trucks is not good for them, its harder on the whole thing...cars are lighter and can handle it better and your truck is also light so it can handle it like a car pimpin4profits 12-31-2001, 02:52 AM Originally posted by flylwsi what my car has in high end and handling, the truck lacks, b/c it has a 100mph limiter http://www.streettrucksmag.com/images/issues/2001/DEC/navarroized.jpg or goto www.gr8ride.com and go to truckin why don't you get one of those SCU2000's from Jet Performance Products? i know they make them for 4 cyl's so they should make them for the far superior 6. the scu2000 allows you to dial in shift points, recalibrate your speedometer and it eliminates you top-speed limiter. you should check into it! i want an s10 and if i get one, i would HAVE to pick one up :D RazorGTR 01-01-2002, 04:14 PM I would have to say Car, but I tend to steer clear of car whores (just a title) as they are only interested in you because of the car. JBL85 01-02-2002, 02:26 AM I drove a maxima and got girls, so, all the girls I know get jealous when I am in my RX300 and tend to make fun of me for it, so driving a plain car that they know other girls wont be jocking you in tends to make them happier....anyhow I think I am going with a car if my dad lets me...I got tired of driving his truck, pain in the ass in parking lots and 12mpg sucks. S Brake 01-02-2002, 05:05 PM right now i drive a truck, its good for hauling stuff and fantastic for off roading. i would never lower or drive a lowered truck though. in my opinion it defeats the purpose of having a truck. i want to get a car now. not so i can rice it out, i want it to be a sleeper so no one would suspect my car of being fast.
