Auto probe owners... I got the first part of my auto tranny upgrade, and on Monday, I'm dropping my car off to get part 2. Part one is called a sport shifter, or manual controller. It allows me to control the gears. I can upshift or downshift as I please at the press of a button, one button per gear. It plugs into the auto. tranny harness and bypasses the shift signals, and I now have total control. Then there is a toggle switch that allows for 2 options. One is just standard driving all 4 gears act normally, the other option allows for 3rd and 4th gear to have more power. What it does is lower the RPM's by activating the TCC (converter clutch) in 3rd and 4th gears. This allows more power to be available in those higher gears. This option is to be used for longer distance driving. Now I'll be able to redline each gear if I so choose, and/or shift whenever I like. Also I can now downshift. On monday, I am dropping my car off at Level Ten and they are making and installing an upgraded torque converter for my car. On Thursday I'll pick up my car and see how my baby drives. I'm going to install the shift controller today. I'll update anyone who's interested. Wish me luck. Jeremy Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
