When will a new Civic come out?Ricochet 08-04-2003, 03:37 PM I'm sick of the '01+ Civics and am looking forward to something new. Anybody know some secrets from the inside? blasian_man 08-04-2003, 03:39 PM body style usually last about 5 years, so maybe sometime soon they'll come up witha new design Ricochet 08-04-2003, 03:52 PM The Integra lasted what, 9 or 10 years? That was a good body though, and I still like it better than the RSX. I hope this Civic dies an early grave and gets totally redone in '04. CivicLeader 08-04-2003, 05:30 PM Originally posted by blasian_man body style usually last about 5 years, so maybe sometime soon they'll come up witha new design Yep...usually about every 5 years...I'm guessing on taking a look at anything new coming out of Japan, also road & track, car & driver, etc... CL darkaccord 08-04-2003, 10:19 PM I hope they give it some 7th gen Accord styling. TheNotoriousMogg 08-04-2003, 11:08 PM I believe the integra body last about 10 years, and I agree I love it also :D Ricochet 08-04-2003, 11:45 PM Originally posted by TheNotoriousMogg I believe the integra body last about 10 years, and I agree I love it also :D hehe, u lucky bastard you own one... wish I did... Honda should have kept that body going until sales went to zilch, just to see how long they could sell them while making profit. I mean look at the beauty in my sig, it's still stylish and it was what like 12 years ago when they started making them? Civics, well, sucked but started looking good then took a total nosedive in '01. I do like the new interior, but that wussy exterior and sad excuse for an engine gotta go. I helped build the first one through the line here at the East Liberty plant in Ohio when I worked there, and it got a lot of sneers and funny looks from most of the workers. Myrrdex 08-06-2003, 04:16 AM what kind of wheels are those on those two cars in your sig rich? are they the same wheels? Your sig is badass. Ricochet 08-06-2003, 09:48 AM I have no idea what kind of rims they are but I like them too. 00accord44 08-06-2003, 12:03 PM Originally posted by darkaccord I hope they give it some 7th gen Accord styling. I dont. The coupe is nice, but the sedan :puke: Integra :boink: johnnyboy5 08-06-2003, 01:15 PM i dont know about the civic but i have heard and seen it on a web site that there are rumors that there is gonna be a new design for the Civic CRX. I looked for the web stie and found it. Dont know if its true though. heres the web site http://www.thecrxdomain.com check it out and tell me what u think. I think it would be cool if the CRX came out again.:bigthumb: Ricochet 08-06-2003, 01:27 PM That site is websensed for me at work, but I think I've seen it before and it looked like some f'ed up Honda Insight (the battery/gas one). That was about 6 months ago though, so maybe it changed. Can somebody download/attach a pic? johnnyboy5 08-06-2003, 01:34 PM sure man no problem:bigthumb: johnnyboy5 08-06-2003, 01:35 PM another crx pic (article) Ricochet 08-06-2003, 02:00 PM Hmm, looks like an RSX. I hope they have more than 90hp or whatever the old ones had. I wonder if Honda will sell them for the same price as Civics? Hopefully they'll put some guts under the hood and make it worth $18k - $20k to fill the gap between the Civic and RSX. edit: Just saw the small print about it "flogging" the Integra R.. dayum. I may have to start saving up :) bloodzombie 08-06-2003, 02:53 PM Kinda looks like an eclipse. I like it. Ricochet 08-06-2003, 02:58 PM Is it just me or is that windshield abnormally huge? Looks like the roof has a receding hairline or something. bloodzombie 08-06-2003, 03:03 PM I didn't notice that before, but you're right. it looks like the windshield would end right above the driver. johnnyboy5 08-06-2003, 03:04 PM here some info i got from the site: "Honda is thinking of bringing back it's best model ever produced and I am very pleased that they might do so, I say might because it is not official if Honda is planning on doing so, but it is very possible they will. It has been almost 20 years since the CRX was first introduced and the combination of being light and potent hasn't lost it's appeal and Honda is seriously considering developing a two-seat sports car with those qualities. The car which Honda is already calling the CRX, could appear in late 2004 or early 2005. In Japan the CRX will exist in two forms: an entry-level model with a 1.0-litre DOHC VTEC triple producing appoximately 74 kW (99 hp) (the engine derived from the block used in Honda's Insight hybrid coupe), and a hardcore 1.6-litre DOHC four cylinder engine (also with VTEC) generating 110-115 kW (about 150 hp). Not incredible, until you realise that the target weight for the four-cylinder coupe is said to cut under 800 kg (about 1920 lbs). That's 200 kg (440 lbs) less than the Mini and 175 kg (385 lbs) lighter than an MR2. Transmissions proposed are a five-speed manual for the 1.0-liter three cylinder, and a six-speed manual for the 1.6-liter The new two-seater is small, and information from Honda indicates a wheelbase in the 2250 to 2350 mm (89 to 93 inch range), overall length of less than 3650 mm (144 inches), width of 1690 mm (67 inches) and height below 1270 mm (50 inches). This makes it a strictly a two-person ride. " Ricochet 08-06-2003, 03:20 PM That's pretty light, even my 2400lb hatch gets blown around during windy days. Should be pretty quick though even with only 150hp. I don't see moonroofs as being a possibility, but maybe the del sol type removable top will be an option? 00accord44 08-06-2003, 03:30 PM That thing is pretty damn light! When the Windy City starts really living up to its nickname, my 3200lb Accord gets a lil tossed!!! I guess thats what low center of gravity is all about, but still. Deezam!:bloated: johnnyboy5 08-06-2003, 03:39 PM tell me about it. Thats why i like my car nice and low, even though its ride height is stock its still lower than other cars. Ive gone tru some nasty winds in mexico with the family's van, Chevy Astro. I had to keep both my hands on the steering wheel and adjust every second, besides the fact that the van is tall. The handling was way more controlable on my honda though. darkaccord 08-06-2003, 04:22 PM It looks like a mix between an RSX and an SI, can't wait. 99civic03 08-06-2003, 06:15 PM I thought I remembered seeing pics of a 2004 Civic, but I could be wrong, Ill see if I can find the link. 00accord44 08-07-2003, 09:44 AM :spit: That pic in your sig is hillarious!!! It took a second for my eyes to catch it, but when they did... Ricochet 08-07-2003, 09:46 AM Originally posted by 00accord44 :spit: That pic in your sig is hillarious!!! Is it supposed to mean that bloody one fell out of her crotch or something? I feel like a retard EDIT: aw shit I see it now, he's blushing  I was right, I do feel like a retard 00accord44 08-07-2003, 10:09 AM Dont feel too bad. Those wheels are :bigthumb: IMO. (I love 7-10 spokes) Ricochet 08-13-2003, 10:56 AM That's the picture I saw a while ago too, but I didn't know if it was a photochop or not. p.s. think your sig's big enough? :sly: gotvtecrx 08-13-2003, 11:21 AM YEEAH IT LOOKS LIKE A KIT, CONVERSION OR SUMTIN Ricochet 08-13-2003, 11:33 AM um, nice rims... 00accord44 08-13-2003, 11:39 AM Originaly posted by Ricochet p.s. think your sig's big enough?:sly: Originaly posted by Ricochet um, nice rims...   gotvtecrx 08-13-2003, 12:32 PM Originally posted by 00accord44    :worshippy :worshippy :dogpile: :worshippy :worshippy 00accord44 08-13-2003, 12:38 PM  :eek7: :bloated: johnnyboy5 08-13-2003, 12:53 PM      xRiCeBoYx 09-07-2003, 06:21 PM they redesigned the '04 sedan's front end.. take a look fer yerselves... http://www.hondacars.com/models/model_overview.asp?ModelName=Civic+Sedan Ricochet 09-07-2003, 08:55 PM they redesigned the '04 sedan's front end.. take a look fer yerselves... http://www.hondacars.com/models/model_overview.asp?ModelName=Civic+Sedan ugh... I have a feeling the days of easily tunable Civics are coming to an end, and they're going to be more familycar'ish, slow pieces of shit. None of them will ever look better than the 96-00's, or maybe even the 92-95's. 00accord44 09-08-2003, 03:21 PM Yukko :disappoin Rage of Xenin 09-09-2003, 03:36 AM looks like the front of the Protege. clubcav_com 09-16-2003, 11:54 AM get some racing seats that will make all the difference dont waste your time until you have those first otherwise it will still look stock at first glance - Moderator www.RateMyHonda.com Is your honda nice...or rice? www.RateMyHonda.com vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
