Window Masks Templates

Window Mask templates made to date. This will be a single thread I'll update.

Instructions:
Print them out on paper and cut then test for scale, they should print correct.
If correct, stick Tamiya 18mm/40mm wide tape over the top and cut them out, peel off paper and fix to inside of clear window unit,
then spray with Semi-gloss black, (airbrushing is best) remembering to apply in light coats to stop paint bleeding under masks.

Ok. Why not do 1 for the Tamiya Porsche 911 GT3. I had a horrid time masking it myself the last time, especially the side windows.

I tried using the window masks on the Revell Mini but they look to be about 10% too small when I tried the Adobe version.
Are they supposed to be like this?
Any suggestions?

I didn't use masking tape though. I hijacked a sheet of 6 panel mailing labels from work and printed on that. Worked very well for me aside from a little residue that I had to take off afterwards.

Man, you MUST get Tamiya tape. Trust me, there's NO substitute!!

we dont get tamiya tape around here and i cant get things off of the internet cuz i have no credit card, but i use automotive masking tape which works very good for me, but if i stick the masking tape to paper from the printer, when i peel it off, wont it just rip the paper off onto it?

No, as long as you stick it down lightly then trace the shape lightly with a pen, you'll be able to lift it off without losing too much of the tapes stickiness.

I havent tryed this but heres another methode I read about once.
take a sheet of those stickers that you can print lables on (avery lables I think) and take all the stickers off. then cover the sheet with masking tape. then print onto the masking tape. cut out your mask and your good to go.

Now that sounds like a darned good simple idea! Especially now that there is Tamiya 40mm tape readily available.

I wonder if it really works? Anyone tried it? Or do I have to risk destroying my printer for myself?

If you do not see masks for the kit you're building, they are not available here.

Please do not ask for them here.

This is something Steve did himself many years ago, and decided to generously share with the community here. He IS NOT TAKING REQUESTS for more masks now- he is busy running his web store.
