I heard they were going to make the Esso/Ultron Supra, the one witht he cool tiger stripes.

Then I woke up.

Is there really any sort of method to Tamiya's madness? It always seemed that they just sort of came out with whatever, whenever. Not even consistantly putting out models-- long dry spells followed by a flood of unrelated kits. So what's the deal with them?

Hello,

I have a secret information. There will be Audi TT DTM but not from Tamiya. It is made from resin. The production will be starting within 1 month. The photoetched parts and the decals and the car is ready. Now only the wheel is left.
It is from Rally Classics (H). They made the Ferrari 550 Millenio, the Skoda Octavia WRC and Audi S2, before Reji stolen it.
If you want one please let me know I will try to order it.

Best regards from Hungary,
G

Do you have some more information on Rally Classics? Website? Picture of the Skoda? Quality?

I'm crossing my fingers for the Porsche Carrera GT. That would rock.

Yeah. The last cars from Tamiya have been the Enzo, Blue Focus, and 206 Winner, right? Been a long time that the Enzo's been out. Time for a new sports car!

They should start selling wheel sets like Fujimi and Aoshima do. I hate having to buy one of their kits just to get a set of wheels.

Thanks for the PM and the information buddy. I receive it but I have to admit that 200 $CAN is a lot of money, I certainly wish that Tamiya make that kit, it's less espensive this way. Always remember that I can mess such a kit and working on a 200$ kit is freaking me for now.

I'm praying for a Mercedes SL500 from Tamiya. Something interesting to note, Tamiya usually releases 1:24 model kits after they released some sort of remote controlled version of the same car. Given that a R/C SL500 is out, can a 1:24 model kit be far away?

I really can't complain, I'm 3 Tamiya Ferrari's behind as it is...
tamiya had a real RX-8 at one of their shows earler this year, does that suggest anything?
There are lots of things they 'could' do.
A "grade-up" version of the New Beetle with an engine, or a Turbo S or a cabrio.
I would really like to see them do a Ferrari F512M or even a 512TR.

I hope Tamiya won't release anything, and save money until the Carrera GT and Mercedes SLR. But, that's just me.
