I am about to go look at a 93 civic coupe for sale and I was wondering if anything specific goes wrong with this model year that I should watch out for. My dad is a mechanic so he knows what to look for and I know civics run forever but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.
Thank you in advance

When you go for a test drive, be sure to see how the car idles and don't take it for a quick test drive. Let the engine warm up because usually when the motor gets warm, you start to notice alotta things. I learned the hard way and I would hate to have somebody else go through what i have.

but be carfull, i got a 93 Coupe EX, love it. around this time of the decade, some 5th gen civics may start to have ignition problems, since your dads a mechanic, you shouldnt have to worry, the coil and distributer, not the cap, may start to lose out. Other than that, TONS of aftermarket parts. Good luck, and tell us what you decide to do.
