InfoWeedy 11-23-2001, 05:52 PM I'm new to Bm's as i am to this board and i would like to know of any potential prob's that need looking at before something turns pear shaped. I have a UK spec 318i se auto,24k on the clock, and i just want to treat it like a baby.Having had Fords all my life can you blame me!. Thanks,Pete in UK 328isRob 11-24-2001, 10:37 PM Welcome aboard the Bimmer Boat... Every car I owned before the bimmer was a Ford here too. The only thing I've heard about specifically with the bimmer is to check the water pump and see if the factory plastic impellar has been replaced with a metal one. Aparently the plastic one wears out fast... other than that. Change your oil... I know people with 318's that have 190k miles on them and still running strong with no problems... I haven't had a second worth of problems with mine other than general maintanance (drunk) with 74k on it. Enjoy. Weedy 11-25-2001, 04:56 PM Thanks for your reply and picture, nice car, hope i will be saying the same in years to come. Regards,Weedy. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
