Hids.. 3.2TLthahman 07-28-2003, 03:54 AM Okay, I was planning on getting a 2002-2003 Maxima, and I know that people are having problems with their HIDs being stolen.. and I know that Acura Tls/Cls are having problems as well.. on the 1999 3.2TLs, are the HIDs available, standard, or ??? I hear from some that they're standard, and from others, I hear they weren't available until 2000 models..? -I know what it's like to have things stolen from vehicles.. my car was broken into twice in two months before b/c of the stereo systems I've had... so having a fender, hood, and headlight / assemblies mutilated would be that much worse.. -isn't there anything that can be done to prevent the lights from being removed from the vehicle? Such as theft deterrent locks, or motion detectors that will set off the alarm? -Thank you. CHaserTourv 08-11-2003, 10:36 PM there aint no such thing as wut u jus stated thahman 08-12-2003, 12:09 AM That's vague. IllusiveTypeS 09-15-2003, 10:30 AM HID's were available for 99 TL's. To protect your HID's there isn't much you can do except turn the sensitivity up on your alarm. Park near a wall or in a gated fence. Also keep out of trouble spots dark areas etc. lamozca 02-25-2004, 12:06 PM man there is not much u can do i got mine stolen last week and always the same front fenders bumper and head lioghts 2800$ iam working onit the first thing ill do its remove the ballast and hid system from the head light and putit inside the hood and put a sticker on the bumper letting this ass holes know that i put them inside of the car and that if they iopen the hood to getthem they better steal the hole car and i guess i would have to post a webb site with pictures on the bumper so they believe me other wise they will steal them again just for the dought lamozca 02-25-2004, 12:07 PM any ideas please imail me at lamozca@hotmail.com xacques 06-20-2004, 03:15 PM I think all of you should etch your vin number into the front of your headlights. Even fill the etch in with some paint to make in more visible. joellthomas 07-11-2004, 02:14 PM good idea! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
