gotta question bout d16z6tekno9998 07-28-2003, 01:46 AM i have a 97 dx civic hb and need some more power. My friend is selling a d16z6 head and intake manifold along with everything i need for the swap short of the vtec switch for 75$. I was just wondering if this swap will work for sure. Also would some milling and porting on the head and intake manifold be a good choice? I appreciate any answers thanks in advance B16EJ1 07-28-2003, 10:00 AM Yes, mini me swaps work. As far as the VTEC wiring, I've heard people using VAFC's w/ stock non-VTEC ecu's and I don't suggest it. I'd covert to OBDI and just get a p28 ECU. They are fairly cheap and I guarantee that you'll like OBDI much better. Porting and polishing the head would be a good move while it's out. :bigthumb: tekno9998 07-29-2003, 12:27 AM The only problem is i live in Tarrant county so i have emissions testing. I will fail the test with a obd1 system since my car is a 97 correct me if im wrong civicHBsi91 07-29-2003, 11:17 AM true, why dont you look for a y8 head/IM and ecu so you can stay OBDII tekno9998 07-29-2003, 02:00 PM Great my friend with a 99 just bought a gsr for his 99 civic ex and sold me the complete engine and tranny for 400 now im legal and i have the entire swap:bigthumb: B16EJ1 07-29-2003, 02:02 PM Good deal :sunglasse vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
