Found this on E-bay Friday night, sweated it out until 11:16 GMT Wednesday night, but it is mine! Apparently only 100 kits made, 1/24 scale, resin body, some photo-etched and metal parts. It was the winning car at Le Mans in 1998 and it will go well with the Toyota GT-One(now finished), the Nissan R390(kit arrived and underway) and the Mercedes CLK(awaiting decals), all from the same year. Can't wait!!

You should make a diorama, with some trees and a Merc somewhere between them :)

Looking forward to more pics.

 did anyone (TAMIYA or something) made a kit of that in plastic? I LOVE that car man, but those resin kits are just too expensive

I didn't see that Steve! Was it the American ebay?

Good job I didn't though! If I like something on ebay, I don't usually lose it! I can just imagine you and me outbidding each other anonimously!:-)

Well done on a great looking kit! How much did you pay for it?
I dunno! After market decals, body modification, multi-media kits!
Almost looking like a pro there Steve!:D

Dan

I bidded $118.48 on Friday and it remained like that until 10 mins before the aution ended. Then someone else outbidded me and I ended up bidding $182.50 for it and luckily the other bloke did not bid any higher.

It was a lot of money, but I was wondering if there was a kit out as it would complete my 1998 Le Mans collection.

It was lucky, the bloke we are getting it off also does the Dodge Viper Le Mans 2000, so I am going to get him to send both to me. It was also cheaper than I was going to pay.

Nice one! It will be worth something if there are only 100 anyway!

BTW you guys, Revell do the GT1 in that shape, but it is usual revell quality (i.e. badly fitting parts!) and the decals are awful, though I know you can get aftermarket ones!

I think Alex is right, a pit lane diorama may be in order! :)

Nice one Hiro!

I wish you would spend more time on this site with us, your knowledge is much appreciated!
If you don't as you spend all the time modelling, I can forgive you!
Otherwise, there is no excuse!;)
