Can anyone who has a 3 series in steel blue metallic let me have your thoughts? When clean at the dealer, it looks amazing. But I have seen a few on the street that looked flat and dull. Any comments?

I don't really like that steel blue, i prefer the ORIENT blue, since it's much darker, and doesn't seem like a color that is fading as for the steel blue. The orient blue looks somewhat like the M3 blue, and it stands out. No other cars have i seen so good looking in blue, so yeah take my word for it, check out the other darker shade.

My dad has the steel blue on his 7 series. It looks nice when its clean. My cousin has the steel blue on his 3 series. It looks good too. Kinda looks like more for a women though. If I were you, get the Topaz blue. My friend has the the orient blue on his 3. Looks kinda purple at night. I think it looks tight. But if I had the choice. Topaz blue would be it. Best color in my opinion. Or carbon black!

M3 Avus Blue... no other.

I have the Steel Blue, and am very pleased with it. The dirt does not show very quickly on it, and it appears to be very durable. The car sealant experts I use say the color is easy to maintain and keep up. Indeed, after 2 1/2 years and 20,000 miles, it still looks as if new.

Hi--just wanted to add my 2cents....I just got a 1988 325I convertable for christmas!!! Currently it is red. The blue color I am going to have it painted is a Z3 color. Aegean Blue Metallic #366 Definitly a mint color. Very rich looking.

I have 2001 325Ci Steel Blue. Looks good for me, even if I am a little late with washing it.

i have a 2000 328i Steel Blue, with the tints it looks wounderful. I dont wash it alot, but i guess cuz at home its garage kept. But i love the color, one other color i would like to see on the road is the Steel Gray, havn't seen much of it yet
