Ferrari Testarossa

hey guys i just ordered the revell ferrari testarossa..does it come with an engine??and what things should i modify??im thinking of putting 2 NOS tanks.and whats a good red paint for it...thanks:bigthumb: :attention :feedback:

For the paint, maybe a few base coats of Silver Leaf and a few candy coats of Mica Red????

Try using Tamiya Smooth Surface Epoxy Putty. (at least i think that's wut they call it).

Yes, it comes with an engine of reasonable quality.

Regarding the NOS, it is an interesting idea- although I am not familiar with NOS equipped Ferraris, I did see a Lotus Esprit V8 with twin tanks at an area car show.

I had that kit once and it is pretty nice. The engine is pretty good but you will have a little problem trying to fit all the parts into the engine bay because of tight space, especially the exhaust system. Can't wait to see your progress thread. :smile:

Don't have any engine pix handy.

Google search turned up one though.

There is also a book on the 512tr (online book stores) I got mine at a local store.

Another good place to find pix is E-bay. Look in the Automotive listings. search by Marque. I'm not sure there are any 512's on right now but they do come up quite often.
