I've got a ctr engine so the emblems aren't too ricey imo, but I hate how they look with my license plate. In Ohio you have to have the front and back ones on which sucks. I have a Neuspeed front-upper tie bar but this engine is too big for it :frown: CTR spoiler and front lip soon to come...

No Type R stickers anywhere though, it's not a Civic Type R.

Help me out with the decisions, or just let me know what you guys think of her

you can't tell that the rimcaps are on or off IMHO. I say get some rimcaps that go over the whole thing and blend in real well. It'll look better.

As for the emblem, put the stock one back on (is there a stock one there?).

It's a ctr grill with mesh, there's no emblem placement available on it. Look at the ctr in my sig, same thing.

I like your car. :bigthumb:

I say center caps off, emblem off.

I also think it would look better without the fog lights, or at least if they were in the corners.

Thanks man, I'm starting to agree with no caps nor emblems. The corner fogs ("stock" ones) are way overpriced anywhere you look so I bought the APC specials for $60. I like where they are and how in some way match the angel eyes.

I didn't stick the H on there I just set it on the hood. It should go down towards the grill more if I put it on, like in my sig.

Caps off, emblems off, get an Si lip or CTR lip and dump the halo's and get CTR headlights. That looks like a fake CTR grill. The mesh is'nt the thick plastic like the OEM CTR or Si one.

Ricochet
07-24-2003, 07:52 AM
It is fake, but it also cost $30 shipped instead of ~$250 :)

I like the caps off, maybe just because they've been on forever and it feels new to have a changeup?

rim caps on, emblems off......If you had the emblem placement at the front then i would put it on there but since you don't, it looks alot cleaner without the emblem.........nice car btw!

Bah don't say that... I've wanted black rims for a while and they're out of my wallet's range to buy a new set. I don't know how to paint rims or believe me I would.

I'm sure its not too hard.

Don't paint em. Powdercoat em. Stronger than any paint no matter how you prep em. The downside is that it does at weight.

It doesn't really matter if you take the rim cap off or not, that's up to you, cuz it still looks good either way. I'd say roll with the emblem off. Gives it that smoother look.

Ricochet
07-25-2003, 10:19 AM
The emblems aren't going on. I took my front plate off and god damn she looks good.

00accord44
07-25-2003, 10:31 AM
We are supposed to have both plates on in IL too, but my front is off. Looks SOOOO much better that way. If you get pulled over for it (like I did) just take the plate off the back, stick it to the front somehow for a few seconds, take a picture of it and when you go to court, show the judge the pic and he'll throw the ticket out. Theres no way they can prove you're lying!:bigthumb:

I crammed it into the corner of my windshield inside the car. It looks somewhat ghetto, but the beauty of the front end makes up for it. I'll post pics tonight, the difference in person is amazing

00accord44
07-25-2003, 11:11 AM
I'd chalk the ghetto window mount. It takes away from the respectfully clean image of your car. Plus I know having something in my windshield drives me CRAZY:screwy:

I dont even put my city sticker in my front window like I'm supposed to. I say just roll wit the picture (as long as it doesn't have time/date stamp on it) In some places you dont even have to go to court to show the picture, just go to the local police station or municipal building/city hall whatever. Its worth the small occasional hassle imo to have the front end look 150% better.

Sure it would be worth it, but when I didn't have a front plate on my Talon some pig left a ticket for $20 under my wiper while it was parked right in front of my house. $20 didn't break my account, but the fact he actually took his time to put it on their really pissed me the hell off. Also the missing plate will give them a reason to pull me over and open the gate to other problems like loud exhaust, tinted taillights, angel eyes... you never know when some pig who's having a bad day needs a power trip to boost his esteem...

00accord44
07-25-2003, 12:41 PM
Ah. very true. I guess I can sort of afford to "live dangerously" because I'm in Florida at school most of the year where you only have to have a back plate. That cop must've been on his period!

Angel Eyes are illegal? I guess I shouldn't be suprised. Anything can be illegal on your friggin car nowdays.

Mine have blue halos

00accord44
07-25-2003, 12:54 PM
Mine too. I think if a cop pulled me over for em, my only defense would be "But BMW's have em. Pull them over!"

Why is it so detrimental to the very fabric of society if I choose to have a blue circle of light in my headlight housing or if my car sits lower to the ground to improve handling???

They should reward you if you lower your car for making it safer/easier to avoid accidents! People with SUV's shoud get tickets for being too far off the ground! If I get into an accident with an Expedition today, its bumper will take my head off. And my accord is at stock height!

Sorry for the rant. I get a lil sensetive when it comes to cops and all the BS they have put me through in my lifetime.:comprage1 :newburn: :screwy:

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it. So what would you guys think about my rims painted black with the chrome outline? ...or is white good enough?
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/attachment.php?postid=1102593

I think black would look beyond cool, and a something a bit more low-key is what I'm aiming for.
I'll try and photoshop them tonight and post up my horrible ps skills just as an idea of what it will look like.

00accord44
07-25-2003, 03:44 PM
Black with chrome outline would look SWEET It would be like the Konig Shu4's but with different design. The Shu4's would also look nice on your car, but

A) You said youre broke at the moment

B) Its better to be original and unique imo.

I say gunmetal with the polished lip! I like the Tenzo Passion 5's the best on hatches

yeah like everyone else I say no center caps or emblems....but I think gunmetal would look better than opal or black painted rims. Gunmetal with the machinesd lip looks sweet.

PS ur car is comming along nicely congrats :bigthumb:

My rims in particular wouldn't look good in gunmetal imo because they're not machine-looking enough. There's a store here called Columbus Powdercoating which I'm going to call in the near future to see what they charge for a professional job. I don't wanna chance my inexperienced hands f'in up my rims just to save a few bucks.

Well worth having your plate in the window. :bigthumb:

That dont look bad at all. The license plate isnt as distracting as I thought it would be. Very clean.:bigthumb:

No emblem, no center caps, plate in the window.

I'm not sure how the black would look, I'd like to see a photoshop if you can do it.

White's a little extreme, but it seems like some sort of contrast is good, like a dark gray.

nice looking car.

dude that really sux.
BTW i would keep the caps on without the emblem.
i also have caps in my rims (sorry no pic) that look better without the caps but my friend did that once on his car and they stole his tires so i definitely keep mine on.

Rim caps off emblem off

Plastic_Fork

I'd leave the caps off, get some locking lugnuts, and put the emblem back on with the plate in the window. Just my opinion, but I have a good respect for Honda and I want people to know I drive one. That's just me tho. The wheels look good in white, or I'd go with powdercoating them (cheaper than new wheels) in either gunmetal / black with a polished/machined lip. I think that'd look good too.

Car looks sweet, btw. Very clean and well-done.

I'm painting the entire interior black, I'll post pics of that when I'm done. So far I have the whole middle part done around the stick and ebrake, and am going to be working on it every night this week. It looks sweet as hell, and very clean...

Here's the ugly lego looking blue/white crap it was before.

Now I have a nice little hole in my center thing where my nitrous switch used to be.

Dear Lord! What all that about?!? I cant wait to see the all black. Please hurry. No time to type response! j/k:biggrin:

The white/blue does look a lil fugasi. Red/blac is more my thing. But with my car being dark blue, red/black interior wouldn't really fit.
