Porsche 959 + TS-30

I just got a Tamiya porsche 959 and i wanted to paint it silver. I have enough ts-30(silver leaf) to do the job but i was wondering if that is an apropriate color or if it looks too "chrome". I am going to use tamiya clear over the color. Anyone tried this or have an opinion?

Silver leaf is a great color! I've used it on a viper I had and it looks stunning.

y Koenig 928 is Tamiya Silver leaf with Tamiya clear and it looks great...Also silver is the most flattering color for the 959 lines...

P.S:You can see the color result in the thread if you click in the 928 pic but the pics are not up to the real thing...

Yup, TS30 is not bad... or X11... in fact, I don't think of those colors when I'm putting chrome parts... those colors are more metalic grey than chrome silver like it's written on the bottle !! Or maybe it's just an idea that those colors are not as chrome as they should be. Well, the fact is: on a car, it's a cool decent color. My 959 is on it's way, the body is already done and that's the color I used (X11 airbrushed at 20 PSI).

I use TS30 sometime for rims.. look nice, but it's not chrome

By the way, in my mind, it's that car who start the metalic grey era on cars... no other car look like the 959 with metalic grey 20 years back from now.

Ok, maybe the Mercedes Gullwing... but none other came to my mind.
