Why are aot of people going to the black rims all of a sudden. IMHO, they look like ass, and make the car look like ass too. Are they supposed to be alot lighter or something?? Honestly, what in the world would someone want to put black rims on there car. someone please explain the lure of this.

and in someone else's opinion they don't look like ass, and thats the reason people buy black wheels, its all a matter of what you like.

I kind off like the dark wheels on some cars. I wonder if they look better with brake dust on them, than silver. The main problem I have,is if the paint is scraped it may be much more noticable. Some makers give you the dark wheel with the machined lip. That is what I like.

black wheels seem to be a trend bout now yea scrapes show up mad easy on some cars they look good others they don't I have spoon sport wheels (black 5 star) on a red civic hatch looks great least to me and thats what matters in the end oh and my wheels are under 10lbs each =)

Right now black rims are really popular. This is because they are generally lighter, they have a sporty look, and they're the exact opposite of dubs, so rap-haters will get these :tongue:.

well, if the black rims are hella lightweight, I'd buy a set and get them powder coated white :)
