Does anyone have any info on this kit ? I have made a search, some of you have this kit but never see any result or picture of the parts..

Does the doors open ? How is the engin ?

I'm very interested in this kit

Thanks

does the engin come with wire ? how are the OZ rims ?

thanks

I have the Totip livery version, but inside they are all the same. It comes with some screen and detailing wire etc., wheels are nice. These kits were engineered back when things were better at Fujimi.

hey Vric,
I got your PM, and here are the pictures of the kit. I have yet to
build mine, but i definately reccomend it. Doors open, rear hatch opens.
the only thing that doesnt open is the front hood. Detail is amazing, I would get this one over the Enzo anyday without hesitation.

let me know if u want more pictures, hope this helps.

I have really dumb questions about this series of kits. I am considering the Shell sponsored version, and if I understand correctly, the kits are all EXACTLY the same? This would mean that Fujimi did not do different tooling for the street and racing versions, therefore the racing parts (wing, ducted front clip, etc) were included in all of the kits? I just wanted to clarify because from the box art, it appears that the Shell car is a street car with sponsor markings and racing wheels, and I need the
racing stuff.

Thanks,
Jeff

I haven't seen much yet, but the Street F40 and the "Sponsor" one have diffrent body, different interior. for the rest, a F40 is a F40 :biggrin2: but for the pic I have seen from the Shell model here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t121085.html) , the body is slicely different since the "street F40LM" have more vents on the rear end. also, my version come with chromed part. so no it's not all the same kit

look at the picture on my first post, the top one is the Prototype and they use the "sponsor" version. Anyway i'm waiting mine.. for 45$, it's just a bit more of a Tamiya Enzo !

If you finally get one and you can have a look a the kit first, try to check if the engine hood really fits onto the raer of the body. I needed to try really hard to get this "unfitting" fixed. The hood was actually to wide. The rest of the kit worked just perfect, so enjoy!

I believe there are 2 totip versions of this kit in 1/16th. I have them both and can take some pics if needed. One is from the Italian Supercar GT series and the other LeMans I believe. Essentially the same if I recall, slightly differnt box art, the LeMans version is the harder to find version.

Recieved the etch set, it's very nice and highly polished like chrome which isn't a best case scenario. It would have been better to do a dull sheet and a polished sheet, but oh well. There are parts included for three different 1/16 models, Testarossa, F40 and pick any old Alfa Romeo, although I believe there is only a grill emblem for that.
Too many parts for my slow typing to list so I will hit a few instead:
Various engine gaskets
Various hose clamps
Drilled Rotors
Engine grills
Fuel filler lids
Ferrari scripts
Belt buckles
Steering wheel spoke insert
Speaker grills

I guess it's worth the price, there seems to be equal parts for F40 and Rossa.

well, for me, I don't think it worth the price (may be good for others)

I just came from Hobby shop, cost me 30$ of supply becose of the kit LOL

btw I won't start a new thread. Does anyone have reference picture of the F40 interior ? I have a lot from the outside, but not much for inside
