Hello everyone! I'm home sick from work today so how about some more model pictures?!Bob Kremer 07-16-2003, 01:43 PM Here is an '89 Thunderbird Super Coupe that I completed this past spring. I bought it partly built and partly painted and decided I liked what the guy had done so far so I finished it to my liking. It's painted Model Master German Silver over silver undercoat. The rear wing is from a Revell Saleen Mustang, wheels/tires are from Revell's Vette Agin, and the rest is from the T-Bird kit. The interior is done in black, burgundy and aluminum, with burgundy flocking for carpet and rear package shelf. The suspension has been lowered a bit and the engine has black painted accents but is stock. Your thoughts and comments are always welcomed! Bob Kremer 07-16-2003, 01:47 PM One other modification I forgot to mention was I sanded off the T-Bird logos from the taillight lenses. I think it cleans up the look of the rear of the car. The flocking is a burgundy color I had lying around and I thought it would compliment the interior colors, so I used it. CamaroSSBoy346 07-17-2003, 10:47 AM Monogram released 2 Thunderbird kits. 1987 Turbo Coupe and 89 Super Coupe (If im not mistaken, they also released a 91 Super Coupe?) They also released the Thunderbird's cousin; the Mercury Courgar XR7 (Only in the 60's-70's-90's was it related to the Mustang IMO) kunta 07-17-2003, 11:50 AM Fine built! nice interior. Bob Kremer 07-17-2003, 10:40 PM Yes, as far as I recall, Revell did the T-Bird SC from '89 to '91, and the Mercury Cougra from '90 to '92, changing the supercharged V6 to the 5.0 liter V8 in about '91. They are supposed to be reissuing the Cougar this year as a lowrider, for those of you lowrider fans. The same year the T-Bird came out, Revell also did the Pontiac Grand Prix SE. This was released in several versions between '89 and '92, including a McLaren Turbo version, and the GTP. I have a GP in the works and it's being combined with the chassis from Revell's Pontiac Banshee concept car kit. Right now it doesn't look like much right now but it'll be pretty interesting when it's done. It kind of looks like an American Nascar racer combined with a GT car.
