I was just wondering if i should pull a frankenstein, and put a b16 head on my b18a block and rebuild the inside.....or just buy a b16a JDM motor?

A frankenstein is the right way to go for high hp right off the bat. However you better know what the hell you are doing or whoever performs the machining on the block and head better know what they are doing. The headaches would be worth it though with hp numbers toward 200 and torque close to 140-150. The b-16 sounds simpler on every level and can be tuned to an endless degree. If you want to go fast and be reliable then keep it simple b-16 or b18c. Happy Swapping

The only problem with the B16 is you have to rev it so high to feel any power compared to any B18 motor vtec or non vtec. To hold you over for now get a set of stock B18B1 cams and intake manifold you will see around 10hp or alittle more and noticable torqua gain also. I t will be cheap as well you can probaly pick these upi for less than $150 for both.
