It won't even start. does anyone have any idea what the problem is? sadlerb_98 07-11-2003, 09:17 PM a buddy of mine had a pontiac grand pre. same symptons. turned out to be the starter. May want to check that. bob Tercel GTS 07-11-2003, 09:21 PM check the fuseable links, ask other ppl where they are on your truck, I'm assuming you checked the battery miratech 07-13-2003, 09:32 AM I have had this problem with both my 2000 Jimmy and 2000 Alero. In both cases, what I had was a leaking battery that looked perfectly fine until I checked it with a voltmeter. Clean/replace the battery cables and new battery fixed the problem. Rob_0126 08-17-2003, 06:28 PM I have a 79 el camino with a 305ho, and I had a fusible link pop one time, while I was pulling the alternator. Nothing would work, and found out that it burned clean thru. All I did was take the burned ends, and wrap them together. Works fine now. Btw, the fusible link is on the starter wire cluster. Robert vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
