Does anybody know how to wire a DVD player/monitor so that you don't have to parked to watch a movie? :dunno:

Nope, but I do know its illegal to have any turned on TV in sight while driving, my friend got busted for that when the cop saw his flip up TV in the dash.

My friend had his installed by an audio video shop and just asked them to wire it so he could have it work while driving.

there is a wire that goes to the ebrake ....... it either grounds when the brake is engaged or disengaged. You take that wire and hook it to a switch where the wire on the other side of the switch is just grounded. Then you can use the switch to simulate the ebrake switch.

Just to add too, and maybe make it simpler for some to understand.. You will wire the parking sensor wire (green) to any ground within the car.

I seriously don't understand the whole "tv/playstaion/dvdplayer in my car" thing. Remember the days when cars were about performance, looks, and HP? Those days are gone. Now its all these cats who see MTV cribs with Ja Rule's cars on there with everything in it and they gotta be just like him. How the F do you watch a movie while driving anyways?? Accident waiting to happen. I gotta go. Im trying to install my widescreen tv, dvd player, a toilet, and a refrigerator in my car. That way, I can just live in my car forever.

HP isn't all that matters, what about G's on the skidpad? And the days of looks are still here...although the taste has changed a lot. And performance, as long as street-able cars are doing 12/13 second runs all day, we'll always have that!

I do agree quite strongly that watching while driving is pretty stupid, but if it's for a show car, or something similar, then hey, fine with me.

I have the whole dvd set-up in my ride.. i think it adds to; for a car show, but I have kids and I usually take them to the shows, and since I drive to all of them and most of them being several hours away, I can keep them entertained. Not to mention when your at a show and it starts pouring rain, and you gotta sit and wait it through, nothing like kicking back and watching a flick until the storm passes... Thats just me though!

I have a GREAT idea, and this should totally work. While you're driving down the highway at 70 mph with the DVD player that you bought "just for your passengers", and "they" want to watch a movie, just RIP THE PARKING BRAKE. Then the DVD will play, and they'll have something to watch before the ambulance gets there.

I DID read what you said, and I DID see that you said it was only for passengers...I was not addressing my last post to you. I was agreeing with another member on the subject that watching DVD's while driving is a bad idea. Not at anytime did I mention you, or your DVD plans.
